So, tonight the evil witch-woman that is Hayley challenged me to put a Togekiss into my ranch, and me being the diligent trainer I am decided to head on to rt 230 to radar me a spiky egg or 2. I pretty much fail at pokeradar chaining even during a swarm, but I went with the intent of catching every Togepi I encountered until I broke my chain. I found Togepi quite quickly, and to my huge surprise I equaled my highest chain ever, 24. This means that, yup, I caught 24 Togepi.

I'm keeping a couple for myself, one to evolve for Hayley and one of the females, but the other 22 are up for grabs if anyone wants one!

So, I was wondering if anyone had a Shuckle that they could breed for me at all? If they wanted. I think I have a lot to give you if you give me a little list of things you want...

Also, I wanted to ask that, the Shuckle in Gold/Silver... I don't remember if you can actually give the Shuckle back, but. Did anyone ever actually give Shuckle back to that man? Because I remember him saying that he did want him back. I was like, "Ha-ha, no, I'm not giving it back. Ha-ha." But then I felt really bad and gave it back (I was a little kid!). But I don't exactly remember what happens there, lol. I was just curious.

Pokemon.com have unveiled screenshots of the English versions of HGSS.

Of note is the rival being referred to as 'Passerby Boy' on the first encounter, and the male player character being named Soul.

Also, I love that the bit on the touch screen is called "You've got the Touch". You've got the pooooowwweeeer! YEAH!

Okay. I've been wanting to work on some craft ideas I have. I bought a few packs of Fimo polymer clay to attempt to make PokeBall beads. I'll definitely post photos when I'm done, but I need a bit of advice on how big to make them as well as which way to make the hole. These beads will basically be flat PokeBall patterned disks.

I've been EV training... eh, off and on for a while now. I took a break for a few months (invisible numbers got to me, @_@) and when I came back... well, I thought I remembered what to do...

Before, I broke down what EVs I wanted where and was able to keep coherent track of them. After I got back... I must have forgotten something, because I "lost count" on my Kingdra (multiple times) and my Ludicolo isn't exactly spot-on either. I'm fairly OCD when it comes to training, calculating what numbers I want where, who gives what, doing all of the Brace / PokéRus multipliers beforehand... so not being able to *correctly* keep track of my EVing is driving me batty. I'm also lazy, so I don't want to have to keep resetting their EVs every. time. I think I'm right (then find out from Ribbon Lady that no, I still have to work harder), so my question is:

Is there a way (I know it has to be out of game) to tell the EXACT numbers of EVs that got distributed?

I'm thinking it has to be a PokéSav or something.... but A) I use a Mac and PokéSav makes no Mac-apps (or so I've found) and B) does the PokéSav even *show* the EVs of a Pokémon after they've already been trained?

...also maybe is there someone willing to work with me, if this can be done, to get my numbers for my Pokémon? I can't offer much in return (aside from undying love TMs. My friend and I have a hacked!Pearl that has 99x of each TM), but it would help me a TON.

So, I am working out my first real team to use when I fight other people that are not friends in my dorms.
And on top of that, I have a good friend of mine who is really tight on money, (has no job at this time...) and knows how to EV train, so as a deal I will buy him some meals if he trains my pokes (I get to pick what he gets for dinner so no pricey meals for him.)

So can you guys look over the line up I picked out and say what you think of it?

I am really happy with what I picked and a few of them are pokemon that I grew up loving (I think all of them but one I loved and kept using in the games)
I was trying to keep each one to have an attack to fight off its weakness if it gets stuck in a tight spot.

Thank you for the help so far, I am changing up things and sending it to my friend now, I may take out the Charizard and keep him on the side till I find a team to fit him into. The problem is my friend does not get the concept of natures and is not letting me explain it to him, I did get the chance to pick one, but thats it....
Also after reading the comments what are your feelings on a all Eevee Evolution team? I may later do another post about that.

According to BulbaNews, Amazon has revealed a possible release date for the English versions of HGSS-March 14, 2010. They also revealed the boxart, which indicates that the PokeWalker is going to be included.

We haven't had an official announcement in regards to the release dates yet, but given a previous announcement as 'Spring 2010', it seems at least plausible.

Also, PokeWalker hell yeah.

Hello!

I have a Pokemon Platinum rom which I play on my R4 flash cart. It works perfect apart from two things; one, I have to save twice instead of once otherwise my data doesn't save correctly, and two, anytime I put Pokemon into my PC storage box, when I switch on my DS again, they are gone. =( This is very frustrating as obviously, I would love to have more than just 6 Pokemon!

So I was wondering, does anyone else suffer from these problems and if so, how did you fix them? Or does anyone own a Platinum rom that doesn't suffer from these bugs? If so, could you kindly point me in the direction to as to where you found it/I can find it?

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

I has a question, and 2 sort of statement-y things for you all today!

1 - So, I was thinking about trying to chain elektrike, and I was wondering if you can stack the effects of static and synchronise? I know you need them at the front of the party, but the effect still works if the synchroniser is fainted right? Does that mean if you had 2 fainted pokemon, one with static and one with synchronise, in the front 2 slots of your team you could get both effects? I'm assuming no, but I thought I'd ask first.

2 - Has anyone ever noticed that the model for Smeargle in the gamecube games has a red tail? I found it really offputting, thought I'd gotten a shiny Smeargle :(

3 - Just in case anyone hasn't already seen, Serebii put up a picture of the American HG boxart, which has a little "Pokewalker included" graphic on the corner of the box =D
